πŸ“Œ Abstract

The Management takes notice of a rumbling from the Procurement Unit staff in HeiTech Padu about lateness, redundancy and manually works of the purchasing process. Software Process Improvement concept has been widely accepted in software engineering and system engineering. In fact, Software Process Improvement (SPI) is an approach to provide organizations with a consistent framework for performing their activities and continually improving the methods, techniques and tools of process. Hence the interest of Software Organization to improve the significant activities can be achieved by implementing Software Process Improvement. Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a well-known Software Process Improvement model of software process maturity which further develops by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI), Carnegie Mellon University. In spit of that, IDEAL model is needed for a successful process improvement effort. This technical report addresses Supplier Agreement Management (SAM) Process area in Maturity Level 2 of CMMISM based process improvement framework. By implementing the process area HTP improved the purchasing process at Procurement Unit in order to achieve the objectives of (SAM) based on the CMMI level 2.
